January resolutions
Try not to start the year with negatives, such as quit, stop or don’t.
Start the year with some positives, make sure 2012 is the year that you achieve at least one of your dreams!
I want to learn to drive, read at least a book a month (fiction or non fiction), run 10 races this year, win a boxing fight and enter into the women’s national boxing championships.

Here is a link to a race that I really want to do, it’s becoming more common to see these sort of adventure/obstacle courses. I want to do them all!! Not quite sure how you even start training for something like this? My guess is in the mud!

Training
Today I went to the boxing class, couldn’t do too much as I have hurt my hand :( I did try and get as much as possible done, lots of shadow boxing, skipping with a weighted skipping rope (oh the burn!) and constant punches with hand weights,I killed my shoulders today :)
Decided my legs need to feel the burn and did two rounds of this circuit

I don’t personally do Crossfit and sometimes I get annoyed at the cult like mentality it brings out in people. It hasn’t reinvented the wheel in the world of exercise, its just repackaged it. But I do like that it is bringing badass fitness to people that would not be able to do it on their own, and there are some cool videos dedicated to it!
Winter running
I am not enjoying these dark mornings! It was lovely in the summer getting up early and running but there is something that I hate about running in the dark mornings.
I don’t have many other options, I could try and run after work but then I don’t want to run just before sparring and boxing training. I think I need to join a gym near my work so I can run during my lunch hour or before...
