I’m going to show you how great I am
Today I went to the boxing class, couldn’t do too much as I have hurt my hand :( I did try and get as much as possible done, lots of shadow boxing, skipping with a weighted skipping rope (oh the burn!) and constant punches with hand weights,I killed my shoulders today :)
Decided my legs need to feel the burn and did two rounds of this circuit
30 secs burpees
30 secs mountain climbers
30 secs star jumps
30 secs burpees
30 secs mountain climbers
30 secs split jumps
60 secs rest
I am not enjoying these dark mornings! It was lovely in the summer getting up early and running but there is something that I hate about running in the dark mornings.
I don’t have many other options, I could try and run after work but then I don’t want to run just before sparring and boxing training. I think I need to join a gym near my work so I can run during my lunch hour or before work. Running on the treadmill isn’t ideal but at least it’s better than dragging myself out of bed and into the dark!
I don’t just train once a week, but Saturday is usually the day I train by myself so I like to log what I am getting myself to do.
4x 3 mins skipping
5 x 3 mins shadow boxing
Partner drills, working on defence.
2 x 2mins on heavy bag (no more due to hand injury)
5 x 2 mins on agility ladder practising footwork
Circuit
100 turns of skipping rope (sprinting)
10 push up claps
15 medicine ball slams (5kg ball)
20 lateral jumps over ball
Repeat for 5 rounds
